Zarah Taylor Renee
Edson-Durham
Jul 2, 2024 — Jul 31, 2026
Steelville, Missouri
With hearts full of love and immeasurable grief, we announce the passing of Zarah Taylor Renee Edson-Durham, affectionally known to her family as “Tay Tay” left us far too soon on July 31, 2026, having graced our world for just over two years since her birth on July 2, 2024.
Zarah’s brief yet radiant presence brought boundless light and happiness to everyone blessed to have known her. She had a uniquely irresistible gift — whenever she entered a room, the atmosphere lifted, brightened instantly by her contagious smile and infectious laughter. Zarah poured out affection without reserve, showering her loved ones with countless hugs and kisses that are now precious memories, cherished deeply and held close in so many hearts.
In her all-too-short life, Zarah exhibited a zest for simple joys. She delighted in the company of her baby dolls, playing for hours with her siblings and cousins, sharing her world with those she loved so openly. A true friend to animals, she was especially drawn to dogs and cats, often seeking their soft comfort and playful antics. Zarah’s fascination with shoes was legendary among those close to her—not content with only her own collection, she had a jovial curiosity for everyone else’s as well, turning even small moments into stories worth telling.
She nourished her imagination through her love of books, always eager for story time and ready to listen, learn, and escape into tales of wonder and delight. The sound of Zarah’s laughter during these moments—her pure joy—remains a melody that her family and friends will hear in their hearts forever.
Although Zarah has reunited in peace with family members who passed before her - great-grandparents Leroy and Ovia Marie McGinnis, Dennis Durham and Thomas Mull; great-uncles Jack McGinnis and Kimmie McGinnis.
Zarah is survived by an incredibly loving and supportive family who carry her memory forward with unending devotion. Tiffany M. Edson and Ronald J. Durham of Steelville; siblings Alexis Quest, Corey Durham, Christopher Durham, Matthew Durham, Aubrey Mehas, Collin Edson, Jemma Edson, Delaney Edson, Liam Edson, Malachi Edson, Ella Bowen and Rosaleigh Edson; grandparents Michele (Kevin) Harmon and Judy Mull; great-grandparents Zella, Jim (Margaret) Harmon; aunt Katy Soto and her cousins Titus and Millie Soto; other aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service 1:00 p.m. at Church of Christ 81 Merri Hills Dr. @ Hwy. 19, Cuba, Missouri.
Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba.
As we say goodbye to our beloved Zarah, we choose to hold close the warmth, laughter, and love that she gave so freely. Her spark, though brief, left a mark on the world around her. We will forever remember Zarah as the light in every room, the little girl who taught us all about unconditional love. She will be deeply missed, always cherished, and never forgotten.
