Winnifred 'Winnie' Foust

Winnifred 郢邀邜Winnie郢邀邝 Foust of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Charles and Mina N. (Wilson) Gandy on July 20, 1922 at Linneus, Missouri and left from this life on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 87. Winnie was united in marriage to Jewell S. Foust on February 1, 1941 at to this union nine children were born Helen, Eugene, Mary Frances, Anna, Susan, Eunice, Beverly, Patty and Larry. Winnie worked several years for Mid Way Hotel and Restaurant as a waitress. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed walking, playing the guitar, singing, cooking, baking, traveling, word search books, the snow and taking care of her family. Winnie is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mina Naomi (Wilson) Gandy; husband Jewell S. Foust; infant daughter Mary Frances Foust; two brothers Marion Eugene and Charles J. Gandy and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her eight children Helen Dunn of Granite City, Illinois, Eugene and wife Reba Foust of Rolla, Missouri, Anna and husband Frank Hance of St. James, Missouri, Susan and husband Larry Meatte of Andrews, Texas, Eunice and husband Sam Bouse, Beverly Miller, Patty and husband Bryan Thorpe and Larry Foust all of Cuba, Missouri; two brothers Francis Gandy of Lonedell, Missouri and Richard Gandy of Rolla, Missouri; three sisters Margaret and husband Chester Ware of Cuba, Missouri, Martha Baynes of St. Clair, Missouri and Neoma and husand Jim Veloff of California; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 15, 2010 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father James Finder as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired memorials may be made to the family in care of Britton Funeral Home. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Foust family.
