William A. 'Bill' Brandenburger Sr.

December 16, 1929 — March 2, 2015

William A. "Bill" Brandenburger, Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Fred and Mary (Rutz) Brandenburger on December 16, 1929 in Oak Hill, Missouri and left from this life on Monday, March 2, 2015 at The Arbors in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 85. Bill was united in marriage to Pearl Kahle on April 30, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas and to this union three children were born Kathy, Cindy and William, Jr. Bill retired after 42 years as an Engineer for St. Louis Terminal Railroad. He was a member of Cuba Lodge #321 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite and Moolah Shrine. Bill enjoyed horses, auctions, collecting antiques and doing carpenter work. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers John Henry and Jack Brandenburger; two grandsons Cole Brandenburger and Jason Conrad; two brothers-in-law Richard Kespohl and Marvin Kahle. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife of 65 years Pearl Brandenburger of Cuba, Missouri; three children Kathy and husband Steve Conrad of Belle, Missouri, Cindy and husband Al Callahan of St. James, Missouri, William A. Brandenburger, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren Wendy and husband Phil Johnson of Austin, Texas, Alissa and husband Jay Steinbroner of Rogers, Arkansas, Grace, Ben, Beth and Anna Brandenburger all of Phoenix, Arizona; six great-grandchildren Garek, Anders, Conrad and Everett Johnson, McKenna and Brooks Steinbroner; one sister Joan Kespohl of Cuba, Missouri; one brother-in-law Harvey Kahle of Hermann, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Parkinsons Disease Association or Heartland Hospice. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Brandenburger family.
