Wanda J. Cox

Wanda J. Cox of Cuba, Missouri was born on September 28, 1937 in Clinton, Oklahoma to the union of Casey and Bernice (nee: Lady) Falkner. She left from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 81 years. Wanda worked in retail sales most of her life, before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed word search puzzles and was always hoping to win big with lottery tickets. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was never ending. Wanda was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and friend of many. She will be truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents Casey and Bernice (nee: Lady) Falkner; one brother Bob Falkner; one sister Shirley Schultz. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three sons Stacy and wife Charleen Cox of Tucson, Arizona, Kelly and Jason Cox both of Cuba, Missouri; four grandchildren Jonathan and wife Andrea Cox of Cuba, Missouri, Deanne and husband Alex Nettles of Brentwood, California, Brittany Carlson of El Paso, Texas and Amanda Cox of Phoenix, Arizona; five great-grandchildren Christopher, Derek, Heiden, Adalynn and one on the way; one sister Betty Whitted of Ontario, Canada; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Cox family.
