Virginia C. Cunningham

Virginia C. Cunningham of Cuba was born on June 26, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Roy E. and Elenora (Ninker) Woehler and she left from this life on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Rock Springs Residential in Cuba at the age of 87 years. Virginia was united in marriage to Jerome J. "Jerry" Cunningham, Sr. on May 1, 1954 in Marble Hill, Missouri and to this union five children were born Darrell, Robert, Linda, Mary and Wayne. Virginia was a homemaker, she enjoyed taking care of her home and family. Her children and grandchildren were the most important part of her life. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Roy E. and Elenora (Ninker) Woehler; step-mother Winifred Woehler; one step-son Jerome J. "Jerry" Cunningham, Jr.; one son Wayne Cunningham; one brother Elroy Woehler. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her four children Darrell and wife Janice Cunningham of St. James, Missouri, Robert and wife Tina Cunningham of Cuba, Missouri, Linda and husband Michael Woessner of St. James, Missouri, Mary and husband Steve Black of Cuba, Missouri; one step-daughter Arleen Luedde of New Hampshire; two daughters-in-law Patricia Cunningham-Ehrhardt and Deanna Cunningham both of Cuba, Missouri; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace, officiating. Interment will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Rock Springs Residential or Amazing Grace Church. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Cunningham family.
