Viola M. 'Vi' Behrle

Viola M. "Vi" Behrle of Chesterfield, Missouri formerly of Cuba was born to the union of John and Sophie (Zeller) Zick on February 28, 1909 in Nashville, Illinois and was Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Delmar Gardens West in Chesterfield, Missouri at the age of 104. Vi was united in marriage to Arthur Behrle on June 8, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. They shared 39 years of marriage together. Vi retired from Lipic Pen Manufacturing Company, St. Louis, Missouri after many years of dedicated service and was a longtime Parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard, baking and spending time on her farm in Steelville, Missouri. Vi is preceded in death by her parents John and Sophie (Zeller) Zick; husband Arthur Behrle; one nephew Donald Zick. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her nephew Arthur G. and wife Lyn Zick of Chesterfield, Missouri; three great-nephews Robert and wife Wendy Zick of Washington, Missouri, Stewart and wife Barbara Zick of Salt Lake City, Utah, Douglas Zick of Wildwood, Missouri; niece-in-law Vickie Zick of Beaumont, Texas; great-great-nephews, great-great-nieces and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home 7027 Gravois, St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 2:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Cuba Senior Center or Masses. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the family of Viola Berhle.
