Valerie Ann Kroeck

Valerie Ann Kroeck, of Cuba, Missouri, was born on August 30, 1953, in Manistee, Michigan, to Richard and Marlene (Frederickson) Abramczyk. It is with heavy hearts that we share her unexpected passing on December 17, 2025, at the age of 72, at her home.

Valerie was a dedicated registered nurse, having earned her associate degree in nursing, and devoted her career to caring for others. She worked at Cuba Manor and later at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, where her compassion and commitment left a lasting impact on those she served. In her personal life, Valerie cherished the simple pleasures—whether it was enjoying time on her deck at Indian Hills, solving jigsaw puzzles, or bowling.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patti Ann Neracher.

Valerie's memory will be lovingly carried on by her three children: Noel (Amy) Hendrix of Cuba, Erin Davis of Scottville, Michigan, and Cassie (Cristopher) Wilmouth of Ashburn, Virginia. She is also survived by her siblings Carol Benforado, Doug Smith, Pam Jewett, Lona Goodrich, and Rick Abramczyk; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A memorial gathering to honor Valerie's life will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until the celebration of life service at 4:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Todd Holman as the officiant.
