Timothy Mark Hannan of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, August 17, 1958 at Springfield, Missouri to the union of LaVerne and Nancy (Nee: Ward) Hannan and left from this life on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his home in Cuba at the age of 58 years. Tim was united in marriage to Tina Green on November 25, 1977 at Mountain Grove, Missouri and they are the proud parents of Tabitha and Matthew. In 1978 Tim started his thirty three year career in law enforcement at the Mountain Grove Police Department as a dispatcher and then became a Mountain Grove City Police Officer. On April 1, 1980 Tim entered the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy and in August of 1980 the family moved to Cuba and Tim went to work for the Missouri Highway Patrol Troop I. Tim retired in July 2011, after nearly thirty one years of dedicated service, for the Missouri Highway Patrol. During this time he was a road trooper, marijuana eradication trooper, undercover detective, casino trooper, road trooper and undercover detective respectively before retiring. In his spare time Tim enjoyed hunting and fishing. What Tim loved most in life was spending time with his family and friends. Tim was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Tim is preceded in death by his father LaVerne Hannan and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of nearly forty years Tina Hannan of the home, two children Tabitha Kelly and fiancé John Woodson of Cuba and Matthew and wife AmeeLynn Hannan of Troy, Illinois, three amazing grandchildren; Sofia Kelly of Cuba, Baylen Hannan and Westen Hannan of Troy, Illinois, mother Nancy Crewse of Cuba, sister Lisa and husband Harold Merritt of Houston, Missouri, father-in-law and mother-in-law Lyle and Carol Green of Mountain Grove, Missouri, two sisters-in-law Tammi and husband David Housley of Norwood, Missouri and Terri and husband Gary Forir of St. Louis, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba. Special recorded music will be "Life is a Highway" and "China Grove". Honored to serve as pallbearers, will be the brotherhood of Law Enforcement. Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crawford County R-II School Athletic Program in Tim's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Hannan family.
