Thelma Ruth Jost

Thelma Ruth Jost of Owensville, Missouri was born on Sunday, July 21, 1946 in Bourbon, Missouri to the union of Allen and Elizabeth (Smith) Rogers. She left from this life at her home, surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 74 years.

Ruth was united in marriage to William "Bill" Jost on September 29, 1962 in Owensville, Missouri. To this union three children were born Machelle, Regina and Scott.

Ruth worked as a Cosmetologist for many years, having served clients in House Springs, Missouri and Newark, Delaware. She enjoyed crocheting, flower arranging, baking cakes, creating photo albums, picking crabs and traveling.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband William "Bill" Jost; two brothers Chester and wife Joy Rogers, Jack Rogers, three sisters Martha and husband Clifford Wilcox, Sue Ellis and Bessie Rogers; two brothers-in-law John Akers and Jerry Hudson; one son-in-law Anthony Paul Rynkiewicz.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Machelle Rynkiewicz of Owensville, Regina Jost of Owensville, Scott Jost of Lewes, Delaware; three grandchildren Melanie McGaha, Aahron Jost and Abigail Rynkiewicz; two great-grandchildren Evan Sanders and Landyn Hunter; two sisters and one brother Esther Akers of Sullivan, Harold Rogers of Owensville, Mary Jane Hudson of Jefferson City; one brother-in-law Larry Ellis of Belle; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 10:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Kingston, officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Youth Savings Fund for her Great-grandchildren.
