Terry N. Scott

Terry N. Scott, of Cuba, Missouri, was born on June 23, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John E. and Elizabeth A. Ruth. She departed from this life on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the age of 78.

Terry dedicated many years of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Cuba Manor and Gibbs Care Center, where her passion for caring for others shone brightly. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, watching wrestling, and engaging in word search puzzles, bubble games, and solitaire on her iPad.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John E. Ruth and Elizabeth A. Long; two husbands Earl Starks and Bill Scott; her two children, Sharon Kay White and Samuel P.M. Starks; her brother, Jerry Bayless; and her son-in-law, Noel Hammock.

Terry is survived by her three children, Cindy Hammock of Sullivan, Mitch (Christie) Starks of Cuba, and Mike (Debbie) Starks of Cuba; her brother, Jim Ruth of Leasburg; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous friends who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jerry Beers. Interment will be held at Flat Grove Cemetery in Rolla, Missouri.
