Stanley J. Highley

Stanley James Highley of Fenton, Missouri and formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, May 8, 1956 in Peoria, Illinois to the union of James W. and Helen (Snodgrass) Highley. He left from this life at his home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the age of 64 years.

Stanley was united in marriage to Debra Lantree on December 23, 1978 and together they raised three sons Josh, Kenneth and Eric.

Stanley worked as a Machine Mechanic at St. Clair Die Casting, before becoming disabled. He was a member of Faith Chapel of Cuba, where he loved to Praise the Lord and play music. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, playing his guitar, barbequing, playing pool and being the jokester of the family. He could fix just about anything. His love for his family, will never be forgotten.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents James W. Highley and Helen (Snodgrass) Fletcher; one brother Larry Highley; mother-in-law Ruth Lantree; two sisters-in-law Joyce Douglas and Linda Graf; one brother-in-law Don Cox.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Debra Highley of the home; three sons Josh and wife Terri Duggan of Millstadt, Illinois, Kenneth and wife Tammy Highley of Cuba, Missouri, Eric and wife Kristin Highley of Columbia, Missouri; eleven grandchildren Kenneth, Jacob (Caitlin), Kaylah, Evan, Mikaila, Hannah, Samantha, Sandra, Brooklynn, Easton and Amelia; one brother Luther Fletcher of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; all of his special nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 1:00 till 3:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 3:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, in Stanley's memory.
