Sherman Dubar

June 14, 1946 — February 21, 2016

Sherman Dubar of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Eulis and Juanita (Ross) Dubar on June 14, 1946 in Brighton, Arkansas and left from this life suddenly on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at his home at the age of 69. Sherman was united in marriage to Ella Jean Tate on December 24, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union one son, Sherman was born. Sherman retired after working as an Assistant Manager at the Wal-Mart of Cuba and later as the Manager at the Huddle House of Cuba. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of Cuba VFW Post #7147. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Sherman is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Neva Jean Hamlett; three brothers Eulis "Whimpy" Dubar, Burnell Dubar and Gary Dubar; two infant siblings; one brother-in-law Don Tate; one sister-in-law Willa Reiger. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Ella Jean Dubar of Cuba, Missouri; one son Sherman Dubar and partner Todd Mortvedt of St. Louis, Missouri; nine brothers and sisters Legurita Hartle, Jerry "Sonny Boy" Dubar, Alice Jackson, Ginny Mae Langley, Robert Dubar, Lavern Chilland, Brenda Ball, Glenda Manning, Linda Keating; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. A private family service with inurnment and military honors will be held at Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Sherman Dubar.
