Sandra Lee Cassidy, of Cuba, Missouri, peacefully passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family in Cuba, Missouri. Born on January 12, 1948, in Steelville, Missouri, to Perry G. and Hallie E. (Pinson) Vance, Sandra lived a life filled with love, dedication, and warmth.
Throughout her years, Sandra devoted herself to raising her children and nurturing her home with care and affection. Her gentle spirit found joy in simple pleasures—crocheting delicate creations, baking with love, enjoying games of bingo, and faithfully attending Injoy Christian Fellowship Church. Above all, she delighted in spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply.
Sandra’s memory will forever be cherished by her three devoted children: Jeff (Barbara) Cassidy, Rodney Cassidy, and Eva (Matthew) Deem, all of Cuba. She was a proud grandmother to Kyle (Heather) Cassidy, Aleesha Cassidy, Christopher Cassidy, Austin (Lecia) Cassidy, Katelynn (Aaron) Hall and Dallas Deem. A loving great-grandmother to Sophia and Mason Cassidy, and Wyatt and Adley Kemp. She is also remembered fondly by her siblings Jill (Sonny) Carroll of Cuba, Roger Vance and Tommy Vance of Texas, and Rhonda Vance of Cuba, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Perry and Hallie Vance; her husband, Jim Cassidy; and her brother, Jack Vance.
Honoring Sandra’s wishes, she will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at Injoy Christian Fellowship Church on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Sandra’s legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her, carrying her loving spirit in their hearts always.
The Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family during this time of remembrance and love.
