Ruth E. Paulson

September 25, 1933 — December 5, 2021

Ruth Esther Paulson (nee: Cocos) of Cuba Missouri was born on Monday, September 25, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of William G. and Florence (Sebu) Cocos. She left from this life on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Aurora Nursing Center in Aurora, Missouri at the age of 88.

Ruth was united in marriage to Robert L. Paulson on October 18, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. To this union two sons were born Ralph Michael and Robert L., Jr.

Ruth was a fiercely competitive person, loved being seen and heard, played Bingo and Yahtzee with vigor, was a talented fisherman who enjoyed having the biggest catch! She loved her family with a fierce passion, and only loved Jesus more. Ruth enjoyed nothing more than a good cooked meal, loud board games, and sharing stories about her family.

She will be missed by her family and friends. There was never as big a personality as Ruth. She will be remembered for her boisterous voice, loud belly laugh, her beehive hairdo’s and long fake lashes. But most of all, for her love of life.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence (Sebu) Cocos; beloved husband Robert Paulson Sr.; brothers Cornel and William G. Cocos Jr. and sister Valeria (Cocos) Heath.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are two sons Robert Paulson, Jr. of the home, Mike (Sandy) Paulson; her great-niece Heather (Dan) Calhoun, niece Sherry (Keith) Newcomb, as well as countless loving nieces and nephews.
