Russell D. Schumacher

September 15, 1956 — June 24, 2021

Russell David Schumacher of Robertsville, Missouri was born September 15, 1956, to the union of the late Henry and Ruth (Travis) Schumacher. He left from this life suddenly on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri at the age of 64 years.

Russell was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Debra D. Moore on January 6, 1979, in St. Clair, Missouri. They were blessed to share 42 years of marriage.

Before becoming disabled, Russell worked several years as a Shipping Clerk for Universal Foods in Fenton, Missouri. Russell enjoyed spending a little time outdoors with a fishing pole in hand, where he could simply relax and maybe catch a fish or two. While indoors, he sat in his favorite chair watching TV or setting up and admiring his collection of trains and antique toys. He loved a good deal and going to yard sales where he wasn’t just looking for bargains, but enjoyed socializing with folks, because he never met a stranger.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ruth (Travis) Schumacher, father-in-law James Moore.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Debra D. (Moore) Schumacher of Robertsville; two sisters Nancy and husband Bob Kreutz of Catawissa, Susan and husband Gary Tharpe of Salem, Kentucky; one brother Henry and wife Pam Schumacher of Luebbering; mother-in-law Diane and husband Bob Barnhart of Sullivan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law James and wife Vivian Moore of Sullivan, Robert Moore of Bourbon, Kevin Moore of Leasburg, Christine and husband Jeff Barnes of Sullivan, Melinda and husband Dale Conley of Leasburg; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
