Robert Lee 'Bob' Veach

Robert Lee "Bob" Veach of Cuba, Missouri was born Saturday, September 26, 1936 at Cook Station, Missouri to the union of John and Minnie (nee: Williams) Veach and left from this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri at the age of 80 years. Bob was united in marriage to Daisy "Katherine" Doyle on June 21, 1958 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba and to this union three children were born; Tamylia, Christine and Sandra. Bob left from Convey Heel of Cuba in 1979, after twenty years of dedicated service, to go to work for Bob Wilson doing construction. Bob retired from doing construction in early 2000. Bob was a devout member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba and he spent many hours working at the church taking care of the flowers and the yard work. Bob enjoyed playing the guitar, working in his garden at home and taking care of his yard. What Bob loved most in life was spending time with his family and friends. Bob was a loving son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob is preceded in death by his parents John and Minnie Veach, brothers-in-law David Miller and Robert Doyle and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of the home Katherine Veach, three children Tamylia and husband Ron Showalter of Union, Missouri, Christine Mendoza of Rolla, Missouri and Sandra and wife Julie Albetski of Enfield, Connecticut, three grandchildren Elizabeth Mendoza, Savana and husband Jeff Crookshanks and Connor Albetski, three great grandchildren Destinie Bonebrake, Jerry Bonebrake and Charlotte Crookshanks, three sisters Marge and husband Raymond Plank of Cuba, Betty Miller of Cuba and Kathy and husband Larry Skyles of St. James, one brother John and wife Dorothy Veach of Cuba, five brothers-in-law Charles "Elmer" and wife Wilma Doyle of Cuba, James and wife Sue Doyle of Cuba, Richard and wife Lulabelle Doyle of Cuba, David and wife Pat Doyle of Steelville and Paul and wife Ellen Doyle of Cuba, four sisters-in-law Betty and husband Gary King of Dolores, Colorado, Jane and husband Stanley Miller of Cuba, Carol and husband Tom Tucker of South Carolina and June and husband William Dotson of Cuba, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 13, 2017 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 730 Fleenor Road, Cuba with Pastor Joe Ed Pederson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bob's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Bob's family.
