Richard W. 'Dick' Simmerly

Richard W. "Dick" Simmerly of Viburnum formerly of Bourbon, Missouri was born to the union of Jesse W. and Della E. (Wymer) Simmerly on December 26, 1939 at Bourbon, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 77 years. Dick worked in the family saw mill business for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dick was a devoted son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Dick is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Walter Simmerly in 1996 and Della Edith (Wymer) Simmerly in 1988, two brothers Curtis Dale Simmerly in 2008, Robert E. Simmerly in 2016. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his two brothers Junior and wife Eveline Simmerly and James Simmerly all of Bourbon, Missouri; four nephews Earl, Jimmy and Billy Simmerly all of Bourbon, Missouri and Mike Simmerly of Cuba, Missouri; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Bourbon Cemetery with Earl Simmerly, officiating. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Simmerly family.
