Raymond Willard Chase

Raymond Willard Chase of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, September 22, 1969 at Baker City, Oregon to Raymond Sondenaa, Jr and Mary Ellen (nee: Dockweiler) Jackson and left from this life with Jesus at the wheel in Childress, Texas on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the age of 44 years. Ray was united in marriage to Shannon Wheeler on January 5, 2004 at Cuba, Missouri and to this union there are five sons; Timothy, Matthew, Tyler, Aaron and Logan. Ray spent the last twenty plus years being an over the road truck driver. In March of 2013 Ray and his family moved to Cuba and Ray went to work for Morrison Trucking Company and was leased to Tennessee Steel Haulers. Ray enjoyed spending hours in the garage with his father-in-law Tim working on and rebuilding old cars. He also enjoyed wood working, hunting with his sons and camping in the mountains of Oregon with the family. Ray loved spending all the time he could with his family. Ray was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, brother-in-law, son-law-in-law and friend of everyone. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ray is preceded in death his grandparents Ed and Eva Dockweiler, step father Bud Jackson and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his loving wife Shannon Chase of the home, eight children Kayla Chase of Georgia, Christopher and Zachary Chase of South Dakota, Timothy, Matthew, Tyler, Aaron and Logan Chase of Cuba, mother Mary Ellen Jackson of Oregon, five sisters Colinda and husband Travis Knight of Texas, Cami Jo and husband Josh Siel, Kelly Karnowski, Tonya Sondenaa and Karen Overlin all of Idaho, step father Chuck Chase of Oregon, mother-in-law and father-in-law Norma and Tim Gray of Cuba, brothers-in-law Aaron and wife Samantha Wheeler and Daniel and wife Tina Wheeler of Cuba, sister-in-law Crystal and husband Michael Garrison of Cuba, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 4:00 till 7:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastors Chris Dew and Dan Morrison officiating. Special music will be "Amazing Grace" and "Dancing In The Sky". In keeping with Ray's wishes he will be cremated following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Ray's family.
