Ralph E. Adams, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born April 28, 1946 at St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 68 years. Junior had polio at the age of three, but it didn't stop him. He worked several years at the Shelter Work Shop in St. Louis. He had his own apartment, learned to cook for himself and he spent hours playing video games. Junior was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He kept ledgers on all the Cardinal Player stats. He knew the history of the team and every member that had ever played for the Cardinals. He collected baseball cards starting as a child. Junior was very good natured, always laughing and not shy. As Junior would say "I take life one day at a time". Junior was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend of everyone he ever met. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Junior is preceded in death by his parents Ralph E. Adams, Sr. and Veda L. Adams, three brothers Michael, Brian and Gary Adams, one nephew Daniel Adams, brother-in-law Melvin Makara and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his loving brothers and sisters; Tony and wife Pat Dixon of St. Louis, Martin Adams of Cuba, Jackie Makara of Cuba, Carolyn and husband Donald Bowolak of St. Louis, Barbara "Jeannie" and husband Michael Zobrist of Cuba, Debbie and husband Michael Evans of St. Louis, Sandra and husband James Mendoza of Cuba, Terri and husband Jim Tyler of Cuba and Rex Hunt of Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, the entire staff of Cuba Manor and many friends. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Special music will be "Amazing Grace" and "When I Get Where I'm Going". Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Adams' family.
