Peter R. Fecurka, of Cuba, Missouri and formerly of Granite City, Illinois, was born on November 21, 1937, in Madison, Illinois to the late Peter and Margaret E. (Smolar) Fecurka. He peacefully departed this life on February 25, 2026, at the age of 88.

Peter dedicated much of his professional life as a mechanic, having worked for Consolidated Aluminum Corp. in Madison before retiring from American Steel in Granite City. His life was enriched by an array of passions, including motorcycle racing in the 1980s, an affection for Mustang cars, and moments spent fishing. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, two of his children, Anthony Carney and Melissa Taylor, and three sisters, Irene Schnefke, Janet Werner, and Elaine Zelinka.

Peter is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Patricia (Gilbert) Fecurka of Cuba, Missouri, and his four children: Nick Fecurka of Granite City, Illinois; Pete (Lisa) Fecurka of Payette, Idaho; Patricia Jackson of Caseyville, Illinois; and Ronnie Carney of Leasburg, Missouri. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Christian Fecurka of Las Vegas, Nevada; Kendall Taylor of Cuba, Missouri; and Kyle Bono of Columbia, Missouri, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, Peter will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
