Ovia Marie was a beautiful woman and the matriarch of the McGinnis family. Her heart was always open, and the door of her home was never closed. Whether a relative or a friend (young or old), you were welcome at her table to enjoy Sunday dinner or a special treat of her chocolate gravy! She would always ask someone to bless the food with a prayer that ended with an extended invitation to church or bible study! She loved discussing scripture and unashamedly shared her knowledge of the Lord. She was a loving woman and will always be remembered for her kindness to others and her willingness to help anyone who was in need offering consoling words and a prayer. She worked alongside her husband and children in the family business and was a secretary at McGinnis Wood Products for many years.
