He left from this life on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Cuba Manor at the age of 86 years. Oscar was united in marriage to Jeneanne "Jean" Wirz on Saturday, March 24, 1951 at Steelville, Missouri and they were the proud parents of Terry. He spent many hours helping his son-in-law Dave bail hay, cut wood and anything else that Dave needed help with. Oscar was an excellent carpenter. He built cabinets, furniture and was always working around the house on different projects. He even rebuilt campers and detailed cars. Up until 2006 Oscar would trade vehicles every year. For many years, after work, Oscar and Jean could be found at Rock Fair. After Jean passed away, Oscar would eat breakfast every Saturday morning, with the widowers' group, at different local restaurants. Oscar treasured the time he got to spend with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Maude Hoffmeister, his wife Jean Hoffmeister, one brother Hershel Lee Hoffmeister, two sisters-in-law; Juanita Strouse and Helen Wirz, two brothers-in-law; Adrain Scego and Richard Wirz and other relatives and friends.
