Norman Erich Mueller

Norman Erich Mueller of Cuba, Missouri was born Tuesday, May 3, 1932 at Hoxie, Kansas to the union of Erich and Sophie (nee: Gaede) Mueller and surrounded by family, he went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home in Cuba at the age of 84 years. Norman graduated from the Perryville High School and he proudly served in the United States Army from January 16, 1951 until January 15, 1954. Norman owned and operated Mueller Construction from 1974 until 1983. He then went to work for Westward Construction Company in Sullivan and he retired from Yamnitz Pre Mix in Owensville in 1997. Norman never really retired he just kept doing woodworking and carpentry work for his family and friends. Norman was a devout member to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba. He had served as an elder for the church. Norman could be found, on most Sundays, ushering before and after church. He also served as church trustee for several years. Norman enjoyed all sports especially football and baseball. He liked a good political debate and up until a couple of years ago he had a truly dry sense of humor. He spent hours mowing grass and he thought that he was a great at barbequing. What Norman truly loved most in life was spending time with his family and friends. Norman was a loving son, brother, husband, father, step father, father-in-law, step father-in-law, grandfather, step grandfather, great grandfather, step great grandfather, uncle, great uncle and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Norman is preceded in death by his parents Erich and Sophie Mueller, stillborn son Norman Eugene Mueller, step son Lex Allen, sister Elly Miesner, one brother Marvin Mueller and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of twenty five years Gloria Jean Mueller of the home, five children; Larry and wife Myra Mueller of Branson, Missouri, Cindy and husband Walt Wyatt of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Pamala and husband Kenneth Zahner of Perryville, Missouri, Tim and wife Tina Mueller of Perryville, Missouri and Becky and husband Nathan Webb of Sullivan, Missouri, four step children Vickie McDaniel of Arkansas, Lance and with Teresa Allen of New Mexico, Link Allen of Louisiana, Lacey and wife Cathy Allen of Louisiana, eight grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, twelve step great grandchildren, two brothers Rhiney and wife Delfie Mueller of Perryville, Missouri and Eldor and wife Lawanna Mueller of Arnold, Missouri, sister-in-law Ruby Mueller of Perryville, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2017 from 10:00 till 11:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 730 Fleenor Road, Cuba. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, February 24th at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Joe Ed Pederson officiating. Interment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Norman's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Mueller family.
