Nancy J. Crewse

December 24, 1938 — November 11, 2022

Nancy J. Crewse of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, December 24, 1938, in Mountain Grove, Missouri to the union of Norval and Norma N. (Cunningham) Ward. She left from this life on Friday, November 11, 2022, at her home at the age of 83 years.


Nancy graduated from Mountain Grove High School. She was a case worker for the Division of Family Services and then she would retire from the Social Security Administration. After her retirement, she would not sit idle for too long and went to work for Peoples Bank in Cuba. She enjoyed getting to greet local townspeople as they entered the bank, with her warm smile and friendliness.


Nancy was a longtime member of the Cuba United Methodist Church, where she was active in the church choir. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching and shopping on the QVC Channel. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Norval and Norma N. (Cunningham) Ward; son Tim Hannan.


Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her daughter Lisa Merritt of Houston; daughter-in-law Tina Hannan of Cuba; four grandchildren Tabitha (John) Woodson of Cuba, Matthew (AmeeLynn) Hannan of Troy, Illinois, Brittany (Reuben) Salazar of Houston, Tiffany Delcour of New Orleans; great-grandchildren Sofia Kelly, Isaiah and Zach Woodson, Baylen and Westen Hannan, Connor and Ryder Salazar; brother Jim (Sandy) Ward of Lake St. Louis; fur baby Velvet; nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews and many friends.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.


Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Holman, officiating.


Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.


If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Cuba United Methodist Church or Partners for the Pound.
