Mary Lou Trask formerly of Cuba and Sullivan was born September 23, 1927 at Chesterfield, Missouri to the union of Albert and Mary Edith (nee: Strauser) Moss and left from this life on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Conroe, Texas at the age of 85 years and 4 days. Mary was united in marriage to Harry Eugene Trask on September 3, 1948 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union 4 children were born; Mark, Jim, Fonda and Shauna. Mary and Harry enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage before Harry passed away in May of 2008. Mary had worked as a nurse's aide at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan before retiring. Several years after retirement Mary and Harry moved to Texas to be closer to their family. Mary could sew any style of clothing and was known for her excellent cooking, especially her baking of bread, pies and cakes. What she always enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends. Mary was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mary Edith Moss, husband Harry Eugene Trask, daughter-in-law Doris Trask, two brothers Wilson Daniel Moss and Daniel A. Moss, two sisters Wilma Wheeler and Alma Armstrong, brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Trask and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children Mark Trask of Greenfield, Missouri, Jim Trask of Meteetse, Wyoming, Fonda and husband John Phillips and Shauna and husband Neil Jacobs all of Conroe, Texas, sister Adele Landers of Nixa, Missouri, brother-in-law Albert and wife Elsie Trask of Litchfield, Illinois, sister-in-laws Audrey Hubbard of St. Louis and Doris and husband Harry Lott of Michigan, eleven grandchildren, twenty four grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Cave Springs Cemetery, Spring Bluff, Missouri. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association in Mary's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Trask family.
