Mary Deloris Rasnick

October 2, 1936 — March 16, 2016

Mary Deloris Rasnick of Cuba, Missouri was born October 2, 1936 at Courtois, Missouri to the union of Quincy and Lillian (Nee: Swyers) Payne and left from this life on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 79 years. Mary was united in marriage to James Walter Rasnick in 1954 and to this union three children were born; Angela, Connie and James. They were happily married for thirty eight years when James passed away on June 1, 1992. Mary worked for ten years at Brown Shoe in Ironton, Missouri, but what she treasured for many years was taking care of her children and home. Mary was the Mom who traveled to watch her daughter cheer and son play baseball. She tried to never miss a performance or game. Mary bowled on a league in her younger years and she liked to go fishing. You could find her outside working on the yard or her flowers from spring to fall and if she wasn't outside she was watching CNN. Mary spent many hours at the Cuba Senior Center playing pinochle. What she truly enjoyed most in life was spoiling her family and spending time with all of them. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Quincy and Lillian Payne, husband, two sisters Dauphine Dietiker and Betty Buxton and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children Angela G. and husband Drew Cherven of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Connie L. Grandstaff of Cuba and James L. and wife Marilyn Rasnick of Terre Du Lac, Missouri, seven grandchildren Ben and wife Kelly Cherven of O'Fallon, Missouri, Allison Cherven of Shrewsbury, Missouri, Anna and husband Tyler Smick of Arnold, Missouri, Cody and wife Kim Grandstaff of Steelville, Lindsey and husband Ben McGinnis of Steelville, Emily and husband Ryan Becker of Terre Du Lac, Missouri and Taylor Rasnick of Terre Du Lac, Missouri, eight great grandchildren Mackenzie Cherven, Angelina Smick, Carter Grandstaff, Bentley McGinnis, Tenley McGinnis, Isabella Rasnick, Rowan Becker and Tripp Becker, three brothers Louie and wife Mickey Payne of Desloge, Missouri, Kenny and wife Mary Ann Payne of Leadwood, Missouri and Howard Payne of Leadwood, Missouri, special companion of fifteen years Robert "Bud" Cummings of Cuba, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
