Mary Alice Stubblefield

Mary Alice Stubblefield of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, April 20, 1934 Crawford County, Missouri to the union of George and Lucille (Nee: Setzer) Edwards. She left from this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Cuba Manor at the age of 85 years.

Mary Alice was united in marriage to John P. Stubblefield on August 30, 1952 and they were the proud parents of Mary Lou, Tracy and J.C. They were happily married for fifty-seven years when John passed away in August of 2009.

Mary Alice spent her life taking care of her home and family, but she also worked in the cafeteria at school for several years. Mary Alice believed in always being busy.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cuba, Lunch Bunch and the O.E.S Chapter 398 (Eastern Star). She loved to visit with people and spent hours playing games with the residents at different nursing homes. What Mary Alice truly loved most in life was spending time with family and friends.

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Lucille Edwards, husband John, brother-in-law Chilton Workman and other family and friends.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children, Mary Lou and husband Don Uhle of Hockley, Texas, Tracy and husband Bill Arsenault of Carlsbad, California and J.C. Stubblefield of Manhattan Beach, California; six grandchildren, John M. and wife Meghan Uhle of Texas, Katie Uhle of Texas, Billy and wife Katie Arsenault, Ryan Arsenault, Zach Arsenault and Riley Arsenault all of California, two great grandchildren, Brynn Uhle and Ryder Arsenault; sister-in-law Frieda Workman of Cuba, nephew, niece, great nephews, great nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2019 from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba with a 7:00 p.m. Eastern Star service.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Snell officiating.

Interment and prayers will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 701 N Main, Cuba, Missouri 65453 in Mary Alice's memory.

The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving Mary Alice's family.
