Obituary

Mark W. Longfellow, of Leasburg, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on January 3, 1970, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, he was the cherished son of Henry and Delores Jean (Epling) Longfellow.

Mark pursued his education at the University of West Virginia, where he earned a double bachelor’s degree in agriculture and education. He dedicated his professional life to serving others, working in the maintenance department at Sullivan Precision Metal Finishing and also owning and operating Mark’s All American Lawn Care. His passion for maintaining beautiful landscapes was complemented by his enthusiasm for the outdoors, farming, horseback riding and cooking—particularly barbecue.

Mark was fondly nicknamed "Bull" at work, a testament to his lively spirit and lively interactions with those around him. He possessed a good-natured wit that brought joy to many who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Longfellow.

Mark leaves behind a loving family that includes his fiancée, Janette Burry of Leasburg; his mother, Delores Jean Longfellow of Spencer, West Virginia; his two daughters, Makynzee (Hunter) Jenks of Blue Field, West Virginia and Madisyn (Justin) Quesenberry of Pulaski, Virginia; and four beloved grandchildren, Wrynley, Jordyn, Harrison, and Skylar. He is also survived by his twin sisters, Lora (Richard) Tawney and Dora (Robert) Tawney, both of West Virginia, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.

In accordance with his wishes, Mark will be cremated.

The Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the family of Mark W. Longfellow during this time. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
