Margaret L. “Maggie” Barlow of Cuba, Missouri was born on February 17, 1936, in Chillicothe, Missouri to the union of Tom and Barbara (Fields) Singleton. She left from this on Monday, August 15, 2022, at The Arbors in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 86.
Maggie was united in marriage to Ralph Barlow on January 8, 1956, in Hale, Missouri. To this union two children were born Becky and Ed.
Maggie was a 1954 graduate of Hale High School. She lived in the Hale, Missouri area through her early years and was a longtime member of Hale United Methodist Church, before moving to Russellville, Arkansas in 1987. She would then move to Cuba, Missouri to be close to her daughter and became a member of Cuba United Methodist Church.
Maggie was a Home Health Care worker for twenty-five years, she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital for twenty years, helped with the Hale baseball and softball teams. She loved quilting, crocheting, spending time with her family and was a friend to everyone. She will be remembered for her love and laughter.
Maggie is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Barbara (Fields) Singleton; husband Ralph Barlow; three brothers Charles, Melvin and Richard Singleton; two sisters Shirley Swearingin and Mary Venneman.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her two children Becky and husband Mark Ness of Cuba, Missouri, Ed and wife Ginger Barlow of Bentonville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren Emily (Colin) O’Brien of Tampa, Florida, Cora (LeRum) Walders of Milton, Florida, Natalie (Aaron) Pratt of Neosha, Missouri, Travis Ness of Kansas City, Missouri, Cord Ness of Jacksonville, Florida, Bryce (Cheyenne) Barlow of Ozark, Missouri, Aspen Gottfried of Bentonville, Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren Alexis Walders, Chloe Walders, Logan O’Brien, Sean O’Brien, Kane Pratt, Piper Pratt and Braylee Barlow; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hale United Methodist Church 406 Mulberry St. Hale, Missouri 64643.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Hale United Methodist Church with Pastor Todd Holman officiating.
Inurnment will be held at Hale Cemetery, Hale, Missouri.
