Margaret A. "Marge" Plank

March 7, 1934 — December 13, 2021

Margaret A. “Marge” Plank (nee: Veach) of Cuba, Missouri was born on Wednesday, March 7, 1934 in Cook Station, Missouri to the union of John and Minnie (Williams) Veach. She left from this life peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2021 with her family by her side at the age of 87.

Marge was united in marriage to Raymond Plank on August 26, 1967 in Steelville, Missouri.

Marge worked most all of her life & in several different occupations; factory worker at Convey Shoe, meat wrapper at Brown & Sons IGA, housekeeper at Super 8 Motel, to name a few. In 2000, she was awarded “Housekeeper of the Year” by Super 8 Motel, in which there were 30,000 employees nominated. In the 80’s, she and Ray owned and operated Ozark Ice Cream in Cuba. In the latter years, Marge ran her own cleaning business.

Marge was a longtime member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.

Marge is preceded in death by her parents John and Minnie (Williams) Veach; one brother Robert Veach; one brother-in-law Dean Miller.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband of fifty-four years Raymond Plank of Cuba; two children, Debbie Horsefield and fiancé Bill Cason, Mike and wife Linda Plank; one step-child Kevin Plank all of Cuba; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Horsefield and Liz Alsop, Tiffany and husband Mike Zerr, Kathryn and husband Brandon Coatney, Brandon Plank and Janna Shaw, Miles Plank, Kaleb and wife Melanie Cason, and Eli Cason; eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Wren, Silas, Kynlee, Adalynn, Grayson, Nathan and Charlotte; two sisters Betty Miller of Cuba, Kathy and husband Larry Skyles of St. James; one brother John and wife Dorothy Veach of Cuba; one sister-in-law Kathryn Veach of Cuba; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 4:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Hogan, officiating.

Marge will be cremated, following the visitation and funeral service. Private graveside service at a later date.
