Lucy Faye Breeding

April 20, 1931 — October 15, 2021

Lucy Faye Breeding of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, April 20, 1931, in Iron County, Missouri to the union of Samuel and Ora (Middleton) Adams. She left from this life surrounded by her family on Friday, October 15, 2021, at her daughter’s home at the age of 90 years.

Faye Adams was united in marriage to James Walter Breeding on July 29, 1949, in Charleston, Missouri. Together they shared seventy-one years of marriage, prior to Jim’s death on June 10, 2021.

Faye was a devout woman of faith and served the Lord for many years as a member of the Assembly of God Church. She had a heart to serve and loved being a Sunday School Teacher. Faye was a tremendous blessing to her church family and spent many hours in the kitchen, cooking and serving food for church functions. And in her own kitchen where she lovingly prepared meals and special treats for her family and friends. Faye was known to enjoy the stage acting in plays for church skits. But when it was time for worship, Faye’s voice would lift in song and blend with the music. In her quiet time, she loved to read…spending moments of reflection in the Word or simply enjoying one of her favorite authors.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Ora (Middleton) Adams; infant daughter Sandra Breeding; husband James Walter Breeding; four brothers Orville, Marvin, Johnny, and LeRoy Adams; two sisters Eliza Mae Morris and Leona Miller; two brothers-in-law Paul Stanley and Albert Breeding; three sisters-in-law Florence Williamson, Margaret Russell, and Bessie Daughhetee.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving daughters Deborah and husband Glen Tutterrow of Cuba, Sheila and husband Steve Walters of Crocker; four grandchildren Tonya and husband Aaron Shumaker of Columbia, Valerie and husband Mike McCain of Crocker, Curtis and wife Angie Tutterrow of Cuba, Fawn and husband Ryan Brooks of Arnold; one granddaughter-in-law Tabitha Olson; eight great-grandchildren Zoey and Jack McCain, Annie, Benjamin and Everly Shumaker, Isaac Tutterrow, Madelyn and Neal Brooks; three step-great grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremiah, and Jaclyn Parrett; one brother-in-law George Breeding of Farmington; one sister-in-law Beth Adams of Arnold; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
