Lorine Lois Huff

September 15, 1925 — August 5, 2017

Lorine Lois Huff of Fenton, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, was born Tuesday, September 15, 1925 at Fuel, Oklahoma to the union of William "Bill" and May Belle (Nee: Dozier) Hamilton and left from this life, with her daughter by her side, on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Fenton, Missouri at the age of 91 years. Lorine married George James Huff on January 8, 1983 at Gerald, Missouri and they were happily married for twenty-four years when George passed away January 2007. Lorine spent her life taking care of her home and family. Her greatest accomplishment was her children; Roy Lee, Lee Roy, Ronald Lee, Marlene, James, Loretta and Charles. Lorine grew up during the depression and because things were hard to come by, she learned to sew, do crafts and she could cook something good out of nothing. She spent hours gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers and you could find her behind the camera at every family event. She enjoyed playing cards, sitting on the porch and trips to the cabin with George. Lorine always did her makeup, fixed her hair and dressed up every day. She was truly humble, extremely forgiving and very devout in her faith. She said her prayers every night as she knelt next to her bed. When Lorine lived in the Cuba, she attended the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg for several years. Lorine's smile would light up a room and what she truly loved most in life was her family. Lorine was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Lorine is preceded in death by her parents Bill and May Belle Hamilton, husband George Huff, three sons; Roy Lee DeWitt, Lee Roy DeWitt and Ronald Lee DeWitt, one daughter Loretta Ponzar, one grandchild, one great grandchild, brothers-in-law William Huff and Edwin Huff, sister-in-law Wanda Mathias and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children; Marlene and husband Casey McBroom of Cedar Hill, Missouri, James "Jim" and wife June Huff of Bland, Missouri and Charles Angel of Madison, Illinois, daughter-in-law Sukcha DeWitt of Atlanta, Georgia, son-in-law Tony Ponzar of Festus, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, sister Anna Belle and husband Gene Fox of Oklahoma, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
