Lester J. Trotter, 74, of Cuba, passed away, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan. 

On August 16, 1951, Lester was born to the union of Sidney Trotter and Thelma (White) in Corning, Arkansas. 

Lester was united in marriage to Loretta Zbleski on February 14, 1969, in St. Louis. 

Lester had worked in the automotive manufacturing business for some time. He had a knack for tinkering with cars and other projects. In his down time, Lester loved to partake in a game of pool while listening to his favorite country western music; his favorite being, George Jones. Him and Loretta also enjoyed trips to Arkansas to visit his family. Most of all, Lester valued the time he got to spend with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney (Thelma) Trotter; one daughter, Judith McKibben; siblings, Willis Trotter, Lorine Tanner and Myrtle March; sister-in-law, Linda Trotter. 

Lester is survived by his wife of 57 years, Loretta Trotter of Cuba; two children, Stacee Reed of Rolla and Lester (Kathy) Moore of Rolla; brother, Howard Trotter of Arkansas, 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. 

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory, Cuba, Missouri. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
