Obituary

Leo Collin Crews, 89, of Leasburg, passed away, November 23, 2025, at his home.

On March 11, 1936, Leo was born, the only child to the union of T.O. Crews & Minnie Lou (Williams) Crews in Haywood County, Tennessee.

Leo retired from General Motors after years of dedicated service as a plant manager.

Working in the automotive industry, Leo developed a passion for cars, especially fast cars. Leo loved to tinker on his cars, attempting to get as much power and speed from motor to the road. He truly had the need for speed. When working on his cars, Leo enjoyed the smooth rhythms of B.B. King and Bobby Blue Bland. When he wasn't in his shop, he found peace and enjoyment in the outdoors whether he was hunting or fishing. In his younger years, Leo enjoyed working on his family farm with his parents in Tennessee. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Leo lived a good life with no regrets, was his words to all. He was ready to live the rest of his life eternally.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, T.O. & Minnie Crews; two children, Etta Marie (Crews) Nicholson & Collin Crews.

He is survived by his loving companion, Ruby Evans of Leasburg; five children, Patrice (Daryl) Bowles of Georgia, Leo D. Crews of Tennessee, Michael Crews of Tennessee, Dianna Boyd Crews of Tennessee & Sandra McDowell of Tennessee; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Per Leo's wishes, he was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
