Lena Marie Upton

Lena Marie Upton of Bourbon, Missouri was born on June 1, 1961 in Washington, Missouri to the union of Melvin and Susie (Pruitt) Courtaway and left from this life on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 55. Lena loved her coloring books, baby dolls and stuffed animals. She enjoyed being the front seat rider on activity trips and helping in the kitchen at Redwood Manor. Lena is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Susie (Pruitt) Courtaway; one brother Charles Courtaway. Those who are left to treasure her memory are her two sisters Annie Courtaway of Potosi, Missouri, Georgia and husband Travis McMahan of Mineral Point, Missouri; one brother Elmer Courtaway of Potosi, Missouri; cousins, nieces, nephews, residents and staff at Redwood Manor. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 2:00 p.m. at Bourbon Cemetery with Lesa Mizell, officiating. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving Lena's family.
