Lawrence C. Piazza

Lawrence C. Piazza of Rolla, Missouri and formerly of Cuba was born on Thursday, October 25, 1934 in Rosati, Missouri to the union of Joe and Nellie (Ramori) Piazza. He left from this life on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Silverstone Place in Rolla at the age of 87.

Lawrence was united in marriage to Mary Ann Piazza on July 7, 1962 in Rosati, Missouri. To this union four children were born Larry, Doug, Annette and Phyllis.

Lawrence proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Echo Supply Company after thirty-two years of dedicated service, and was a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers union, local 787. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning the vegetables from his garden, mowing his property, tinkering at his work bench, growing grapes to make homemade wine, and spending time with his family and friends.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Nellie (Ramori) Piazza; one sister Christine and husband Lindell Clonts.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of fifty-eight years Mary Ann Piazza of the family home; four children Larry Piazza and fiancé Karen Weber of Cuba, Doug and wife Laura Piazza of St. Peters, Annette and husband Gordy Wells of Rolla, Phyllis and husband Jim Evans of Rolla; seven grandchildren Dustin Lee of San Francisco, CA, Zachary Piazza of St. Louis, MO, Megan Friedmann of Steelville, MO, Tyler Piazza of St. Louis, MO, Courtney Piazza of Joplin, MO, Larry Piazza, Jr. of Cuba, MO, and Richard Piazza of Cuba MO; two great-grandchildren Preston Piazza and Chloe Friedmann; one niece Margo Clonts; two nephews Grayling Clonts and Lance Clonts; cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 415 W. School St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 18, 2021 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Dan Lueckenotte as the celebrant.

Interment with military honors will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Rosati, Missouri.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
