Juanita Thornhill (nee: Johnson) of Bourbon, Missouri was born on January 1, 1933 in Strangers Home, Arkansas to the union of Kennard M. and Allie Mae (Ludwig) Johnson. She left from this life on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Cuba Manor at the age of 86 years. Juanita was united in marriage to Elroy G. Thornhill on March 15, 1948 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. To this union four children were born Susan "Anita", Danny, Randall "David" and Kathy. Juanita was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, quilting, crocheting and gardening. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents Kennard and Allie Mae (Ludwig) Johnson; husband Elroy G. Thornhill; three sisters Madeline Johnson, Pauline Whitlow and Dorothy Springer; four brothers Chester, Carnell, Kenneth "Pete" and Eugene Johnson; two granddaughters Kristy Lynn and Lisa Jean Thornhill; one son-in-law James Ray. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her four children Susan "Anita" Ray of Bourbon, Missouri, Danny and wife Carol Thornhill of Salome, Arizona, Randall "David" Thornhill of New Mexico, Kathy Thornhill of St. James, Missouri; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 12:30 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Bro. John Ripley, officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, St. James, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Thornhill family.
