J.R. Holtz of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Thursday, March 5, 1987 in Rolla, Missouri. He left from this life suddenly on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the age of 34 years.
J.R. was united in marriage to Kyley Shipman on July 14, 2012 in Sullivan, Missouri. To this union one daughter was born Rylee.
J.R. was blessed to have a wonderful grandma that loved him dearly and delighted to spoil him. When he became a dad, he passed all that love and spoiling to his adorable little girl, Rylee. She was his princess and the light of his world. J.R. was a spontaneous guy who enjoyed life as it happened, unrehearsed and ready for unplanned adventures. He enjoyed having a fishing pole in his hands and waiting for the big catch or getting his hands dirty working on cars and trucks. In other moments you could find him immersed in a video game like the kid at heart that he always was.
J.R. is preceded in death by his parents Gary D. Holtz, Sr., and Pamela (Summers) Lovett.
Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Kyley (Shipman) Holtz of Toledo, Ohio; one amazing daughter Rylee Holtz of Toledo, Ohio; Grandmother Brenda Giguere-Hinch of Bourbon, Missouri; one brother Brendon Holtz of Madison County, Illinois; one sister Elicia Holtz of Indiana; father-in-law Mike Shipman of Sullivan, Missouri; mother-in-law Leeann Kovacs of Toledo, Ohio; one nephew and two nieces Mason, Shyann, and Ocean Sky; cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.
In keeping with his wishes, J.R. will be cremated following the visitation.
