Joseph 'Joe' Lemons

Joseph "Joe" Lemons of Cuba was born to the union of Samuel and Edith Loretta (Hammack) Lemons on March 29, 1960 in Rolla, Missouri. He left from this life on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his home at the age of 58 years. Joe was united in marriage to Lorette Bridges on December 24, 1981 in Steelville, Missouri. To this union six children were born Heather, Monica, Samantha, Nicholas, Dylan and Mary Agnes. Joe worked in Masonry for many years and was a member of Bricklayers Local 1. He enjoyed drawing, woodworking, fishing, football and riding motorcycles. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Edith Loretta (Hammack) Lemons; one brother William "Bill" Lemons; one sister Rebecca Sue Lemons. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Lorette Lemons; six children Heather and husband Xavier Silva, Monica Black and fiancé Jerry Harris, Samantha Lemons, Nicholas Lemons, Dylan Lemons, Mary Agnes "Maggie" Lemons; ten grandchildren Gavin, Cadance, Maya, Shane, IsaBella, Shannon, Jaspar, Jillian, Carter and one soon to be; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 6:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cuba 701 N. Main St. Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family in care of Mizell Funeral Home. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Lemons family.
