Joseph C. Walls

Joseph Clayton Walls of Rolla, Missouri was born on July 3, 1979, in Springfield, Missouri to the union of Lawrence and Elaine (Vincent) Walls. He left from this life on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 42.

Joseph C. Walls was a beautifully written author who began writing at the age of nine. He published five books which included, “Love Knows No Boundaries,” “Renew your Strength,” “Shattered Dreams,” “Believe It Achieve It Determine It” and his latest book of poetry, “Depths of My Soul.” He won Editor’s Choice Awards in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2012. One of the highlights of his writing career was being included in a book called “Great Poet’s across America.” He hosted his own podcast called “Breaking Walls.” His motto was “Breaking walls is easy, but mending the heart is a challenge.”

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Elaine (Vincent) Foster; stepfather Gordon Foster; grandfather Delmar Vincent.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his son Jonathan Walls of Clinton; father Lawrence Walls of Rolla; brothers and sisters Andrea (Edward) Pritchett of St. Clair, Matthew (Kayla) Walls of St. Clair, Heather Walls of Rolla, Franky (Amanda) Walls of Rolla, Missouri, Erin Bedford of Lee Summit; step-sister Christina Nicole Kockelman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandmother Lucille (James Teague) Vincent of Belle, Missouri; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 1:00 p.m. at Vineyard Church 708 N. Main St. Rolla, Missouri with Pastor Brad Dimock, officiating.

Inurnment will be held at Owensville Cemetery at a later date.
