Jerry L. Lewis

March 21, 1939 — June 27, 2020

Jerry L. Lewis of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 21, 1939 in Jadwin, Missouri to the union of Marion and Minnie (Palmer) Lewis. He left from this life on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, Missouri at the age of 81 years.

Jerry served his country in the United States Marine Corps for three years and then served the next eleven years in the United States Army. He retired as a Sgt. on January 24, 1969. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Expert Badge with Rifle Bar.

After his retirement from the military, he returned home and worked many years as an auto mechanic and auto body repairman. He enjoyed going to swap meets, collecting antique European motorcycles and parts, guns and swords.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Minnie (Palmer) Lewis; one brother Rudy Lewis.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his brother Ronald Lewis of Cuba, Missouri; two nephews Ronald Lewis, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, Michael and wife Ashley DeFilippo of Madison, Illinois; one niece Andrea Warden of DeSoto, Missouri; great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

In keeping with his wishes, Jerry will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
