Jerry J. Conway

Jerry J. Conway of Bourbon, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, was born Saturday, December 18, 1982 at Washington, Missouri to the union of Jerry D. and Sheila (Nee: Jones) Conway and left from this life on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 35 years. Jerry was united in marriage to Darlene Short and they were the proud parents of Lacie and Emily Conway. Jerry worked several different jobs, including being in management for the TLE Department for Walmart in Sullivan and he worked at Steel Well for a while. Jerry had a passion for working on cars and building racing motors. He loved playing with his daughters and they spent many hours flying the drone together. What he truly loved most in life was spending time with his family and friends. Jerry was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin, grandson, nephew and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his mother Sheila Conway, sister Christy Conway, step daughter Elizabeth "Lizzy" and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Darlene Conway of the home, two daughters Laci and Emily Conway of Cuba, his dad Jerry D. Conway of Leasburg, niece Tesah Conway of Leasburg, nephew James Knowlton of Leasburg, aunts and uncles Debbie and husband Mathew Kless of Indiana, Tina Jo and husband Dave of Wentzville, Kimberly and husband Brian Fisher of Richwoods, Joe and wife Denise Baxter of Lonedell and Brenda Rice of St. Clair, mother-in-law and father-in-law Saundra and Leon Short of Cuba, sister-in-law Vanda and husband Travis Loughary of Belleville, Illinois and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Graveside service will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1:30 pm at the Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri with Paul Ransom officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Conway family for final expenses. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Conway family.
