Jeneanne Mae "Jean" Hoffmeister of Cuba, Missouri was born March 21, 1933 at Champaign, Illinois to the union of Ralph and Charlotte (Nee: Plotner) Wirz and left from this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 82 years. Jean was united in marriage to Oscar Hoffmeister on March 24, 1951 at Steelville, Missouri and to this union one daughter was born, Terry. Jean was one of the first employees hired at MEPCO and was a dedicated employee for over thirty years. Jean would go to work early each morning and get the coffee ready for the rest of the staff. Jean considered the staff of MEPCO as her family. Jean could be found on Sunday at the race track watching Oscar race. They enjoyed many trips to Branson to watch the shows and to shop. On the way home from Branson they always stopped at the Amish Store to pick up seasonings for everyone. Jean enjoyed word search books, reading romance novels, going out to eat and one of their favorite places to go was Rockfair Tavern. Jean loved spoiling her grandchildren and co-workers. Jean was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law and friend of many. Jean is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Charlotte Wirz, sister Juanita Stroud, nephews Mike Jenkins and Matt Wirz and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving husband of sixty four years Oscar Hoffmeister of Cuba, daughter Terry and husband Dave Campbell of St. James, four grandchildren Christy Campbell of Cuba, Heather and husband Cary Bouse of Vichy, Dave Campbell, Jr of Rolla and Beth Campbell of St. James, ten great grandchildren; Dakota Skouby, Wilson McDaniel, Reese Seitz, Hayley Portell, Mackenzie Portell, Brooklyn Bouse, Bailey Terrill, Macy Terrill, Annie Terrill and Avery Campbell, sister Jackie and husband Adrian Scego of Owensville, two brothers Richard and wife Barb Wirz of Rolla and Ralph and wife Helen Wirz of Ohio state, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 205 from 12 Noon till 3:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Special recorded music will be "Take Me Home" by Elvis and "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. Honored to be serving as pall bearers will be Jimmy Montgomery, Danny Sanazaro, Brian White, Bob Mullen, Bailey Terrill and Dakota Skouby. Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Jean's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Jean's family.
