Janet A. Combs

Janet A. Combs of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, May 28, 1953 at Union, Missouri to the union of Harold and Erma Annie (Nee: Thurmond) Strickler and left from this life on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 61 years. Janet was the loving mother of three children; Shawn, Kim and Brittany. Janet spent many years babysitting children. She enjoyed Word Search books, the Discovery, Fit and Health Channel (DFH) and The Learning Channel (TLC). Janet was a collector of clothes and ducks and in her spare time she spent endless hours playing the piano. Janet was a loving daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Janet is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Erma Strickler and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Shawn and wife Veda Combs of Cuba, Kim Greaver of St. James and Brittany Combs of Cuba, five grandchildren Megan, Devon, Katie, Abbie and Justice, one sister Patsy DeClue of Bourbon, one brother Glen Strickler of St. Clair, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 10:00 AM till 12 Noon at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Larry Buettner officiating. Special music will be "Go Rest High on that Mountain", "I Can Only Imagine" and "Butterfly Kisses". The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Combs family.
