April 22, 1961 — June 21, 2023

Cuba, Missouir

Jamie Denise Manning of Cuba, Missouri was born on April 22, 1961, in Marshall, Texas to the union of James and Delia (Garitty) Faucett. She left this life suddenly on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at her home at the age of 62.

Jamie was united in marriage to her best friend and soul mate Walter L. Manning, Jr. on April 7, 1990, in Great Lakes, Illinois.

Jamie worked as an Appraiser for Allstate Insurance Company for several years. She would later become a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home, spoiling her grandchildren and all her fur babies. She attended Cuba Christian Church.

Being married to a career Navy Man was no small task. She proudly stood by her husband’s side, as they moved to different duty stations around the United States. When Walter would leave to go to war or on a mission, she was always supportive and anxiously awaited his return.

Jamie is preceded in death by her parents James Faucett and Delia (Garitty) Faucett; one sister Bridget Bridgeman.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband Walter L. Manning, Jr. of Cuba; one son John Henry Edson of Cuba; seven grandchildren Landon, Matthew, Collin, Jemma, Lanie, Liam and Malichi Edson; two sisters Kim and husband Allen Zickenfoose of Milam, Texas, Stephanie “Jill” Faucett of Beaumont, Texas; six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law John and wife Jacquie Manning of St. Clair, Troy and wife Becky Manning of St. Clair, Scott and wife Michelle Manning of Salem, Dawn and husband Glenn Hawkins of Sullivan, Wendy and husband Tim Henderson, Lisa Cox of Farmington; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

In keeping with her wishes, Jamie will be cremated. Her cremated remains will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced later.
