James Walter "Jim" Breeding

June 21, 1929 — June 10, 2021

James "Jim" Walter Breeding of Cuba, Missouri was born on June 21, 1929 in East Prairie, Missouri to the union of Walter and Ruby (Morgan) Breeding. He left from this life surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home at the age of 91 years.

Jim was united in marriage to Faye. Adams on July 29, 1949 in Charleston, Missouri.

Jim served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and earned the Korean Service Medal, United Service Medal, National Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked several years in the mines at Pea Ridge and later became manager of the Delano Station in Bourbon. Jim was a devout man of faith and served the Lord for many years through the Assembly of God Church, where he faithfully served as a Deacon, youth leader, Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent. He enjoyed fixing lawn mowers, being an avid Cardinals fan and he was always known for his jokes, riddles and quick wit. His favorite thing to say to all family members was, "I love you most!"

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Ruby (Morgan) Breeding; infant daughter Sandra Breeding; two brothers Paul Stanley and Albert Breeding; three sisters Florence Williamson, Margaret Russell and Bessie Daughhetee.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of seventy-one years Faye Breeding of the home; two daughters Deborah and husband Glen Tutterrow of Cuba, Sheila and husband Steve Walters of Crocker; four grandchildren Tonya and husband Aaron Shumaker of Columbia, Valerie and husband Mike McCain of Crocker, Curtis and wife Angie Tutterrow of Cuba, Fawn and husband Ryan Brooks of Arnold; one granddaughter-in-law Tabitha Olson; eight great-grandchildren Zoey and Jack McCain, Annie, Benjamin and Everly Shumaker, Isaac Tutterrow, Madelyn and Neal Brooks; three step-great grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremiah, and Jaclyn Parrett; one brother George Breeding of Farmington; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Hogan, officiating. The eulogy and will be read by Harold Harrison. Special music will be provided by Rick Graddy.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Glen Tutterrow, Steve Walters, Curtis Tutterrow, Ryan Brooks, Mike McCain, Aaron Shumaker and Jack McCain. Honorary pallbearers Benjamin Shumaker and Isaac Tutterrow.

Interment with full military honors will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
