James H. Marler Jr.

July 8, 1957 — December 12, 2016

James H. Marler, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of St. Louis was born Monday, June 8, 1957 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of James H. and Zella (nee: Starkey) Marler and left from this life surrounded by family on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home in Cuba at the age of 59 years. Jim owned and operating a moving company in St. Louis for twenty plus years. He was a devout member of the Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints. Jim enjoyed the outdoors. He spent hours hunting, fishing and if the weather was decent he spent many weekends camping and being on the river. What Jim enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family and friends. Jim was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father James H. Marler and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving mother Zella Marler of Cuba, two sisters Mary and husband George Reynolds of Coila, Mississippi and Judy and husband Thomas Mull of Cuba, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Inurnment and prayers will be held at a later date. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Marler family.
