James A. "Jim" Tennyson

September 26, 1944 — February 6, 2022

James A. “Jim” Tennyson of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, September 26, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of John and Mildred (Chambers) Tennyson; He left from this life on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 77.

Jim was united in marriage to Mary Ann Hoshaw on November 26, 1988 in Cuba, Missouri.

Jim earned his Bachelors degree in Business from Lincoln University. He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

Jim owned and operated Tennyson Realty in Cuba, since 1972. He will be remembered for his quick wit and being a pillar of the community. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,working, spirited political conversations, and of course his grandchildren.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents John and Mildred (Chambers) Tennyson; one brother Johnnie Tennyson; three sisters Gloria, Wynette and Judy Tennyson.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Mary Ann (Schiesser) Tennyson of Cuba; four children Jamie Tennyson of St. Peters, Kevin and wife Debbie Hoshaw of Kirksville, Stacy Hoshaw of St. Peters, Todd and wife Jenny Hoshaw of St. Peters; six grandchildren Chase, Cassie, Bennett, Ryan, Sarah and Malachi; one brother Jerry and wife Sharon Tennyson of Rolla; two brothers-in-law David and wife Nancy Schiesser of Crown Point, Indiana, Rich and wife Ann Schiesser of Henderson, Nevada; one sister-in-law Nancy and husband Scott Carey of Lakeside, Arizona; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church 415 W. School St. Cuba, Missouri with Father Dan Lueckenotte as the celebrant.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

If you are unable to or would rather not attend the visitation and funeral mass at this time, a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. Date and time will be announced.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Shriners Hospital for Children, Holy Cross School or charity of your choice.
