Jack Mcginnis

September 28, 1953 — January 30, 2021

"On Saturday, the world lost the greatest man…" the words of Brandon McGinnis at the passing of his dad, Jack McGinnis. Jack made his arrival into this world on Monday, September 28, 1953 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to the union of Leroy and Ovia Marie (Crisp) McGinnis. He passed from this life surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the age of 67 years leaving a great legacy for the generations behind him.

On a summer day in Cuba Missouri in 1974 Jack married his sweetheart, Edna Mae North. Every year on August 24th they shared another wedding anniversary, remembering the years behind them and counting all their blessings that God had given to them. Their greatest treasures were three children born to them, Corey, Tabitha, Brandon and the four grandchildren.

Jack retired as a Vice-President of McGinnis Wood Products Company, after 27 years of dedicated service. He was a hard worker and enjoyed going to work and helping to run the family business which has been a great success. His faith was his foundation, and you could find Jack on a church pew with Edna and the family as they attended church on Sunday. One of life's highlights for Jack was attending Men's Bible Class at Kenny Killeen's garage every other Monday. Kicking back in his recliner, he enjoyed watching television and re-traveling the roads he and Edna had traveled together! Jack was a collector of sail ships, wine, and bourbon bottles/steins, and collecting old classic model cars, and he loved driving his MG Midget car. Jack was a great family guy and loved spending time with his family and being the "Best Papa" to his four amazing grandchildren, Josh, Jackson, Jayson, and Kathryn.

Jack is preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother Kimmie "Mac" McGinnis.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of forty-seven years Edna Mae (North) McGinnis of Cuba, Missouri; three children Corey and wife Gina McGinnis of Oak Grove, Missouri, Tabi and husband Matt Mazzei of Cuba, Missouri, Brandon McGinnis of Pierce City, Missouri; four amazing grandchildren Josh, Jackson and Jayson McGinnis, Kathryn Mazzei; parents Leroy and Ovia Marie (Crisp) McGinnis of Cuba, Missouri; one brother Don and wife Tina McGinnis of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters Pat and husband Bob Bell of Cuba, Missouri, Renee and husband Ed Bowen of Cuba, Missouri, Michele and husband Kevin Harmon of Cherryville, Missouri; one sister-in-law Diana McGinnis of Springfield, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
