Henry James "Jimmy" Schmidt

Henry James “Jimmy” Schmidt of Cuba, Missouri was born on February 8, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri to Henry J. and Isabell (Bryant) Schmidt. He left this life on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at his home at the age of 78.

Jimmy was raised one of twelve children. He was a factory worker most of his life, lastly working for Hart Manufacturing in St. Louis and was a member of the Cuba Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching western movies and spending time with his family and friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Henry J. and Isabell (Bryant) Schmidt; eight siblings Josephine Wheeler, Lorraine Bridges, Alvie Callahan, Ray Schmidt, Clyde, Paul, Howard and Roman Conaway.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his three sisters Corrine Tindall of Cuba, Margie Cook of St. Louis, Ann and husband Jim Davis of Antonia; one brother-in-law Robert Bridges of Villa Ridge; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Don Martin, officiating.

Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
